It feels like only yesterday we made our last announcement, but… we are delighted to announce, that over the past month, we’ve certified another thousand learners as Carbon Literate!

21,000 learners are now certified as Carbon Literate. This means that over 42,000 actions have been pledged – in communities, businesses, local authorities, schools and universities, across the UK and beyond – to take meaningful action towards a zero-carbon society.

It’s incredible to think that we started the year with 16,000 learners and we have already added 5,000 – which is more than the whole of 2020, smashing our own record. The rate of acceleration is clear to see, and we can’t wait until we get to share and celebrate the next milestone with you! With our Carbon Literacy Action Day on the horizon, who knows what the total will be by the end of the year (make your guesses now!)?
